Outreach and free services

Community Health Initiatives
JGU’s Health Centre leads a range of impactful outreach programs aimed at advancing well-being not just within the university, but across the surrounding community. Notably, blood donation drives organized by student volunteers, along with highly subsidized blood screening camps in partnership with Dr. Lal PathLabs, provide essential care and contribute to life-saving efforts on and off campus. CPR and AED workshops are regularly conducted to equip students, faculty, and staff with the skills necessary to respond confidently during medical emergencies. These proactive training sessions strengthen community safety and empower individuals to become first responders.

Accessible and Inclusive Healthcare
All JGU community members students, faculty, staff, contract workers, and their families benefit from free, high-quality Outpatient and Inpatient Department (OPD/IPD) care, as well as rapid diagnostic testing through the in-house laboratory. This ensures that preventive and timely care is available to all, regardless of financial standing. For enhanced accessibility, electric golf carts transport patients comfortably to the Health Centre, and ambulances with skilled personnel are stationed at key locations for immediate emergency response.

Education, Wellness, and Future Plans
To foster preventive health and awareness, the Health Centre circulates newsletters covering topics from seasonal wellness to fitness and nutrition, while offering routine yoga, physiotherapy, and nutrition counseling workshops. Looking forward, JGU plans to expand its outreach with mobile health vans and specialty camps in neighboring areas, reinforcing its long-term commitment to community health equity.
